Obama Says Fast Trains Aren't Sky Pie

Every day it's something new from the Obama administration, which is why I'm glad I called this blog Today With President Barack Obama. Obama has done so much in such a short time.
This morning, Bobby Jindal called Obama's work up to now "campaigning," which made me conclude, though I try to keep an open mind, that republicans are not only sore losers but also wrong about most things.
Call it an Aha moment.
They have a narrow agenda, which doesn't seem to fit our progressive society anymore. We're moving ahead but they seem stuck with a dead president. No offense to Reagan. He probably was great in his time. But this isn't that time. These are new times. But they have yet to acknowlege that and maybe that's because the party is old (not just in age) and lacking a diverse representation of the American people, which is why Jindal keeps getting tossed out in front of the camera.
But he's not making the cut.
Every time a potential republican leader speaks (it's like they're trying them out), it's the same thing. They may as well just press the play button. They are consistent.
Anyway, today Obama links trains to saving money by reducing congestion and increasing productivity. Trains also spare the environment.

We all know Joe loves trains:
Transportation secretary Ray LaHood says the nation's ready for high-speed rail. See him talk about that here.
